Position Overview
Associate Director Position reporting into Director of IT Technology & Infrastructure, with focus on Financial Management & Project Portfolio Management. The position also focuses on developing programs and processes to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.
 
Main Areas of Responsibilities
  • Provide Administration and Support for Financial Management, Contract Administration & Portfolio Management within IT organization.
  • Provide financial analysis leadership on budgeting, invoicing, vendor contracts and financial reports for technology spending on services and products. Provide recommendations to management based on analysis over projects, budgets, invoices, and contracts.
  • Enhance the IT budget planning, cost allocation processes, and associated financial management standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with key information technology business units and decision makers. Participate in regular meetings with senior IT staff to coordinate and prioritize Strategic Project initiatives.
  • Provide coaching and support to the organization on PMO tools, methodology and metrics.
  • physical and human resource needs required to meet established portfolio objectives
  • Ensure that projects within the assigned portfolio are executed under the Organizations strategic guidelines and standards, development methodology and governance practices through all project lifecycle phases
  • Review requests to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources. Asses proposed projects against institutional technical architecture and policy standards
Requirements
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
  • Minimum 10 years of project management//financial management experience that includes at least 5 years of IT related experience
  • Experience in Managing a Global team and Customers in an Enterprise environment
  • Experience in understanding & analyzing costs, pricing, vendors and contracts
  • Working knowledge of standards, internal controls, policies and procedures in IT Organization
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera, Planview etc.
Preferred Skills/Qualification
The below skills are attributes that may not be mandatory but are desired in the ideal candidate.
  • Ability to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team to meet Organizational goals
  • Strong analysis, design and implementation experience with technology projects. Knowledge of IT planning and operations, design and deployment process
Education
  • Minimum or equivalent of a BA/BS degree is required
  • Relevant Industry Certifications in Financial Management, IT Governance and IT Project/Portfolio Management
