Position Overview:
The main function of this position is to provide support to the Tissue Services Department. Assembly of high quality complete donor files, obtaining serological testing results, data entry and SAP transactions. This includes working with a Senior Specialist to obtain all relevant pertinent medical and recovery history of each donor in a timely manner. During the process of obtaining and creating the donor medical file, a series of steps is required ranging from initial data entry of information into the SAP system to the complete review (Level 1) and analysis of the information to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and AATB standards. This position has responsibility for all the applicable transactions in SAP. This position is for completion of assigned work. It is expected this position will manage the workload to ensure operation within the set metrics of the department. This function is expected to be customer focus and to collaborate with the Tissue Recovery Partners and the Life Cell Tissue Services Field Operations team.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Establish positive and effective relationships with Tissue Recovery Partners.
    Act as a contact to Tissue Recovery Partners when directed to address any specific issues identified by Level 2 or Level 3 reviews and provide rapid follow up and rework to resolve these issues.
  • Act as support person for the collection and compilation of donor medical and recovery records for assigned Tissue Recovery Partners. Provide backup support for Senior Specialists during absences or to meet the demands of the department.
  • Recognize discrepancies or information gaps present in donor medical charts and retrieve information as appropriate.
  • Ensure all Level 1 reviews of donor records pertaining to their assignments are accurate and complete.
  • Assure all donor medical and recovery files are complete and in compliance with AATB standards, FDA, state regulations and in accordance with Life Cell LOPs and other requirements.
  • Complete data entry/SAP transactions as required to properly transact donor file information. Including but not limited to, serology test entry and verification. Release and rejection entry and verification
 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Education and Experience
  • High school graduate
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 1-3 years work experience in a controlled and GMP regulated industry
  • Preferred previous work in the medical or nursing field such as nursing school attendee, medical records administration, EMT or other experience within the tissue donation industry
  • Understanding of AATB, FDA and other regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Trackwise and SAP.
  • Experience in Quality, Science, Biologics or related field.
 Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)
  • Must have ability to analyze data and prioritize, triage work tasks
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to multi task on a daily basis
  • Must be customer oriented
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of diverse cultures
  • AATB-CTBS certified preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Human Anatomy terminology
  • Disease testing understanding
  • Overall understanding and overall understanding of hospital/medical documentation
