Position Overview:
The Operational Excellence Deployment Lead is responsible for leading high profile end-to-end OPEX transformations and business critical, large scale OPEX projects across the Global Operations network. This role is integral to driving Operations programs in alignment with the Operations strategy. These programs are complex in nature spanning multiple regions, languages, and cultures. The OPEX Deployment Lead must be able to foster strong professional relationships, partner cross-functionally with teams inside and outside the United States/Europe, and interface internally and externally throughout the supply chain from customer to supplier and all functions in between that enable the delivery of safe products and services.  
This position will have responsibility for coaching and leading highly matrixed teams and will have significant influence over their goals, performance, and development. They will be challenged with engaging people outside their organization to initiate change in the company.
Leads end-to-end OPEX transformations and large scale OPEX projects.
Initiates End-to-End Value Stream Mapping workshops domestically and internationally. Accountable for cross-functional data mining, analysis, and interpretation of results. Develops future state strategy and implementation plans to achieve targets and manages overall program and projects. Responsible for completion of deliverables on schedule and within budget. Ensures the customer’s perspective is a driving force behind decisions and activities.
Utilizes end-to-end transformations to drive next steps in the Operations strategy. Works closely with the Strategy, OPEX, and Transformation teams, and site, functional, and senior leaders to create, prioritize, and align efforts that bring the most value to the organization. Serves as a change proponent to challenge the status quo and raise the bar.
Maintains an executive disposition by advocating the organization’s strategy and exuding confidence in the OPEX operating model. Advances the principles of the OPEX model with balanced consideration towards systems, management infrastructure, and mindsets and behaviors. Creates an environment that inspires people to generate novel solutions for transformational change.
Utilizes change management and influence models to gain commitment for improvements and working in the new way. Understands and leverages global and regional differences to successfully lead projects to completion. Builds partnerships that ensure sustainability for long-term success. Promotes and celebrates successes.
Talent management: Evaluates and selects internal and external talent to ensure the best match between individual and work requirements, provides timely guidance and feedback, motivates individuals toward higher levels of performance, and provides opportunities to develop.
Mandates project compliance with regulatory requirements and company quality system procedures.
This position can be based anywhere in the US as it is a Field based role.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Science, Engineering, or Business required
  • Black Belt certification preferred
  • Minimum 10 years working in pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing
  • Required progressive experience with applying Operational Excellence to cGMP manufacturing environments in pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficiency with file sharing applications (Box, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Ability to travel >50% to global manufacturing, office, and external partner sites

◦Completing work with minimal direction and without established procedures
